About Our Bands
What Ever Will
What Ever Will is a 5 piece band from Louisville who has experienced a revival, of sorts, since reactivating in 2013. Once a house packing mainstay at every Louisville club from Phoenix Hill Tavern, Toy Tiger, Brewery Thunderdome all the way to Panama City. The band's wheelhouse is up tempo dance floor filling Rock, Pop and Hip Hop. No corny choreography, outfits or vibes. The band plays what they want to hear someone else playing. The Weeknd, The Roots, Phoenix, Bruno Mars, Imagine Dragons, Royal Blood, Notorious BIG Ice Cube, Sublime and whatever else makes you want to forget the day and live at night.
Incorporating many styles, genres, and diverse musical influences, can make all the difference when it comes to changing the way fans perceive, feel, and hear country music. WildWood is composed of six extremely talented and driven Musician “Artists” who bring these diverse influences to life in their compelling catalogue. These eclectic styles include country, blues, soul, R&B, and even funk.
Front man Kevin Cummings has that “Golden Voice” which lends itself, and brings you back to, the epic feel good 90’s country era. Stacey Lynn King blends right in with a crystal clear, powerful, pleasing harmony and lead vocal that rivals any in Nashville today. This, combined with an honest four part harmony makes for an “I just got the chills” combination! In addition, John Hager’s and Sean Shelton’s phenomenal lead and rhythm electric guitars fill out the melodies to a “T”. The rhythm section rounds out the band nicely with an abundantly experienced drummer, “human metronome” Jake Badger, and a bass player in Scott Edelen who has the music theory mind of a genius. The groove is pocket and smooth.
WildWood concentrates its original catalog on relating to the listener. The songs that really make you say, “Hey! I have definitely been there.” This task they pull off perfectly, all while steering clear of the trucks, cut off blue jeans, and the man in the moon trend that is starting to fade away. Now, the focus for Wild Wood’s in-house writing team, lead by guitarist John Hagar and heavily influenced by the rest of the gang, is to write and push a product that is deep, compelling, and layered. One that triggers the feelings and emotions of listeners.
WildWood has already had the opportunity to open for incredible National Country Music acts at various prestigious venues. These acts include: Montgomery Gentry, Chase Rice, Sam Hunt, Parmalee, Thompson Square, Brothers Osborne and Tyler Farr.
WildWood’s first album “Leave the Light On” is now available on ITunes, CD Baby.
